China RoHS - People’s Republic of China “Management Methods for Controlling Pollution by Electronic Information Products.” Also known as "China Restriction on Hazardous Substances (RoHS)."
The "Management Methods" set up the framework for a series of "Industry Standards" that implement the overall principles of the rule. The rule regulates "Electronic Information Products (EIP)." As of March 1, 2007, EIP sold in China will be subject to labeling with a pollution control symbol, the Environmental Protection Use Period (EPUP), and the toxic substances composition and location. Yet to be published is a series of "Catalogs" that will identify specific types of EIP that are subject to concentration limits and testing requirements for the China Compulsatory Certification "CCC" Mark.
